This celadon ceramic flowers jar features a voluminous body covered with arabesque patterns and three diamond windows containing cloud-and-crane, peony and chrysanthemum designs respectively. The peony design seen in this picture exhibits the traditional inlaying technique by which flowers are in white, boldly large, slip whereas the stalks and leaves are expressed in fine black and white lines.
