The master of Pansori, Park Dong-Jin devoted his lifetime to Pansori and was designated as Important Intangible Cultural Asset No. 5 by Korean government. Born in 1916 in Gongju, he played a leading role in promoting and teaching Pansori. He built the Pansori Instruction Center in Gongju where he was born to foster students, and inherit and develop Pansori. He passed away in 2003.
