Kim Chong-Ja's music intends to produce a dignified and refined artistic world rather than to follow the current of contemporary musical taste. Her performance shows the rightness of the classical piece like a firm rock in the flowing river without any agitation against the current musical taste of audiences.
She devoted most of her professional career to the transmission and promotion of classical music and Gagok (lyric song cycle). Since her first recital in 1966, Kim has appeared in countless recitals and concerts. She was one of founding members of the most prestigious Korean ensemble, Jungnongakhoe. She has performed in various international music festivals.
